• Sue Reid

    Sue has been an educator for over 25 years. and now serves as the Director of Wooddale Community Nursery School. She and three other teachers started the school over 15 years ago, and Sue has enjoyed continuing her work with our children and their families. She has three adult children who attended St. Louis Park public schools. Sue holds a degree in music therapy from the University of Kansas.

  • Julie Steele

    Before teaching at Wooddale, Julie taught elementary school, middle school, and high school. She has a Master’s Degree in education from the University of St. Thomas. Her two children—who attended Wooddale over 15 years ago—are in college now. Julie and her husband live in Edina.

  • Christina Edstrom

    Christina loved having both of her own children attend Wooddale and was excited to join the Wooddale community as a teacher in 2019. She has a BA from the University of MN, Morris and a Postgraduate degree in counseling from Strathclyde University in Glasgow, Scotland. Christina lives in St. Louis Park with her husband, two children, and a variety of pets.

  • Karita Bentley

    Karita joined Wooddale in 2020 and has been part of the community since her own children attended preschool here over the past decade. As a teacher, Karita uses her Spanish degree to create simple language lessons for our students. Prior to teaching at Wooddale, Karita provided daycare for two children—also Wooddale students— for 7 years. During her time as a stay-at-home mom, Karita put in countless hours volunteering for the SLP schools and serving as the coordinator for the Middle School Amity program. Karita, her three daughters, her husband, and her favorite Dog, Juno, live in St. Louis Park.
